OCDNJ has quarterly and annual conferences. Quarterly presentations typically feature an in-depth discussion of a particular facet of OCD, OC related disorders or therapy given by local psychologists and other mental health care professionals. The quarterly meetings are free events that occur four times per year, always on a Monday evening. A popular presentation is the “Ask the Experts” panel in which audience members can ask experts in the field relevant questions. These informative presentations embody a core tenet of OCD New Jersey which is to “raise awareness and educate the public and professional communities about the disorder.” All are welcome to attend.
The OCD New Jersey Annual Conference is intended for individuals living with OCD, family members, educators and clinicians. The Annual Conference includes an extensive keynote presentation given by a prominent, internationally known researcher or clinician in the field. Every year, the Annual Conference features the “Living with OCD Panel.” This allows individuals living with OCD to tell their own story in a supportive and welcoming environment and for audience members to ask questions regarding OCD, therapy, and recovery.
